CB shop black list.

It's a total piece of garbage from the factory. With all the modifications that were done to mine I'm quite happy with it.

 

I just noticed this I'm surprised I didn't see it sooner. There's a guy named Randy that works in the back room at Big O's and he is an excellent technician. Unfortunately he is only an employee or a subcontractor and has no control over what the owner does with your radio.
The owner is a hack and screws up everything he touches and sometimes to save face he sends it to the back room to have Randy fix it correctly.
I'm not sure who determines which radios Randy gets to work on. if Randy works on it it will work great but if the owner works on it you're not going to like it very much.
I gotta give credit where credit is due

 

I don't live far from Kenly. I'll have to take a trip up there and see if he's still there.

I have to disagree with this as a licensed ham radio operator I have had to cut several modulation limiters in some of my radios but not all of them to work with amplifiers. If i don't the dead key will be fine but when you talk it will raise your output wattage and then cause you to overdrive the amplifier. Putting amplifiers with radios is a tricky situation to get it done right. Some radios work without making modifications and some don't. The guy that owns and runs MR. Cb is also a licensed ham and i have talked to him several times, he knows what he is doing and i have had him work on a couple of $1500+ ham radios which are far more complex then a CB and have never had a problem with is work.

 

Do you mod the anytone smart radios?

 

Something aweful fishy about rong-stad and trk.teacher ??? Like thinking there's a rabbi and a hacktunes involved !!!!!!
