What does your "mod" consist of ? If you just peak the AMC and power there are no additional parts and even if you do some crappy swing mod(NPC/PPE,red wire mod or whatever), there is less than $2 in parts and a couple of dabs of solder.Wouldn't $25 be overpriced as well for 10 minutes of work???? -

not really its for my time and yes maybe only $2 in parts but i do it for half the price and most of the time i do it for free or show them how to do it i think the most i have made doing it was $25.00 but for the most part i do it for fun and to teach others the right way to set up there radio and yes there is noting to it so why does it bother u that i charge less then all the shops?Click to expand...Click to expand... -

Maybe you should get into it.People would be suprised at how well a radio set to factory specs will sound. You could not tell them that though, they would not believe you.To be sucessful you would need to come up with some fancy (crazy) name for your work like -

Suprised Big O's hasn't been mentioned yet.
Spent a 34 hr reset watching Randy R and R several radios. He doesn't disappear behind closed doors or a curtain, everything is done out in the open.
He doesn't do "Swing Kits" and I wouldn't use the term "Peak and Tune" the man upgrades the boards with parts better and more reliable than what was there.
Here's the difference I've seen and now know first hand: when he's done with your radio, it's pretty much bullet proof and is BROADCAST QUALITY.
He takes his time with each customers radio as if it were his own.
If he were to have a downfall, it's the above. He has a backlog of radios waiting for his work. Every customer knows this and yet, they're more than willing to leave their radio and wait the time it takes for his experience to get to it.
He's an electrical engineer and an amazing guy hands down. I would recommend him to anyone who's been looking for one of the best there is, or has gotten sheisted in the past and skiddish about having work done again to their radio.
Big O's CB Shop (The trailer next to it)
I-465 Exit 4, adjacent the Pilot
Indianapolis, IN
One other thing-don't let the trailer fool you. You may look at it and think twice. It may be spartan in appearance, but the expertise is in the man. -
Premo's I-10 Exit 785 Channelview, Tx. behind the old Key truck stop. AVOID THIS RAT HOLE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!! I brought a Cobra 29 Classic to him to have the channel selector changed and when I tried to talk on it all it did was hum. Brought it to the guy that built it for me when I got home and Premo decided to make other adjustments. Premo's is a chop shop not a CB shop.
4G's Exit 789 Baytown, Tx. is a good shop. I bought a General Lee there and had it installed. Everybody I've talked to on it has said how great it sounds.
Borderlon's I-49 Exit 19 Opelousas, La. Head east on Hwy. 190 for about 2 miles and they're on the left across from Kings truck stop. Randy does some wonderful work and has great prices on radios and accessories.
