Chucks CB shop, exit 126 I-40 Tennessee, best, most honest guy I've ever dealt with. Can fix anything
Voltrucker Thanks this. -
It was mentioned in an earlier post but here is another vote for Q-5 communications at exit 132 N off of 90/94 in Portage WI. 800- 841- 6333
Steve is an excellent tech and is especially good with vintage equipment. He rebuilt my old Cobra to better-than-new specs, did it quickly and reasonably. Anytime I need anything done my first call is to Steve or Terry at Q-5. -

He's RETIRED and has always had an interest in CB's and competitions.
I'd put his background, knowledge and expertise along with his credibilty and work ethic right up there against anyone elses. -
Mike,
You are 100% correct about your radio bud there in Harrison. My radio had been worked on at two different shops. One is on the "white list" here and has a very good reputation. But the previous shop had used way too much hot glue and ruined some of the parts that need to be adjusted. However, as far as I am concerned now, there is only 1 shop for my equipment. My radio had been tuned and adjusted but none of it was "spot on" even the freq. was off, just a little. Not only did that get corrected, there was a weird short that he didn't find until he was putting the covers back on. After searching over 30 minutes for a bad connection, he narrowed it down to the bad part. Don't ask me what it was, you know how he is about the "mechanics" of his work. Needless to say, this radio is now correct !!
Thanks again for letting me know about him. I had known the shop was there but had no idea he was that good. Well worth the 2.5 hour drive for great work. Thanks again. -
My eyes are crossing trying to find intel on the CB shop in Altoona, IA at the Bosselmans/Pilot Truckstop. They seem really nice to talk to but I haven't had anyting done or purchased from there yet. Looking for a good Connex and they have a couple on the shelf. All comments relative would be appreciated. Thx!

ELECTRAL ENGEENER is way diffrent from someone who knows radio .....
I took electronic engeering myself and it did not cover RADIO very well ...
I went into radio right out of school in 1967 and got my FCC cormercial license now know as a GTOL but they realy did not teach much in tech school or even college.
CB radio does not require any kind of training or license to repair so that is not a problem .... If he i doing it for the fun of it why not but a electral engeenering background ...... -
You mean I missed a fire show? !?!?!
Bummer, Oh well. I'll have to ask him next time I go up there.
Thanks agian.
