Here's a twist. Public safety people have MDT's (mobile data terminals) in most of their vehicles.
This goes for fire depts as well as pd.

You cannot have a video screen playing a movie, or probably anything else
for that matter, in the drivers view..you could get a ticket.

Yet, Public safety gets to play their MDT's like a video game going down the road.
They're checking out your plates while looking at their email, while looking at someones mug shot etc.

What a deal huh?

The Governator as i like to call him(governor of California) Passed a law that requires anyone under 18 to not use any electronics while driving. (i don't know when this goes into affect)

Then that means you can't drive your car if it doesn't have the old points & condenser distributor in it. Oh wait, that's really electronic too because it has a coil & a spark.

Oh well.

The local pd where I live can surf the internet while they drive. They just complain it is slow tho.
