, that said, in 12 yrs I've gone through 6 cb's, in my old truck the last one died in '07 and became a paperweight after that. Currently, I have one, had it peaked and tuned, and i hardly ever turn it on. About the only time I turn it on is when the weather is bad.

I would recommend a new driver to have one.
That said I have been driving slip seat daycabs the last two of three years and haven't used one and have not missed it but I don't go to a lot of new places.
