Ccc tansportation

Not that I am A fan of CCC but they have been around a little longer than some of the 90 day wonders in our industry

 

I worked there for six years. Left at the end of 2010. Made $32k that year and that's with trainer pay. Prob would have been less than $30k as a typical driver. There's no excuses to pay an experienced driver so little. I am not the kind of driver to turn down loads , rather I begged for them. There were days when I would come in and pick up a load from the yard, drag it 15 miles, deliver it and go home. Shag pay? What's that? It should be illegal for this company to expect us to live on $30 a day.

 

Well you keep showing up for 30 dollar days.... 32k last year ? what is that ? Did you only work 6 months or what ?

 

I kept showing up because i couldn't find anywhere else to hire me, and on the off-day they'd give me a good load. By good load I mean a 450 mile day that pays $110.

I worked there from Jan-Dec in 2010 and only made $32k, not 6 months. Well, it was about 6 months worth of work over a year's worth of employment.

There were other drivers I spoke to that would only make $20 a day and I asked how they were making it, they didn't have an answer for me. It's hard with the economy, you just have to stick it out and hope it gets better, it never got better for me so I had to finally leave. 6 years with a company and you don't want to just jump ship, but I eventually had to, if i wanted to survive.
