I live in Alabama. I have been out of trucking for 11 years. I'm looking for a company that has a free refresher course. Right now my top two are Paschall Truck Lines and Schneider National. I'm leaning with Paschall because they have southeast regional runs and Schneider unfortunately is forced dispatch to NYC.
Do any of you guys have any recommendations? Maybe Prime? I drove for Schneider before and really enjoyed Schneider other than not having an APU and getting sent to the northeast constantly; They kept me up there in that communist hell hole. Any advice and info on PTL would be greatly appreciated. TIA!!

Welcome to the Forum!
To what city in Alabama are you closest? B'ham? H'ville? Montgomery? Somewhere else?
What type(s) of freight interest you? What endorsements do you have (if any)?

You could try this one:

Yeah, as you've already noted -- PTL offers a refresher gig:
Refresher Driving | Paschall Truck Lines, Inc. (ptl-inc.com)
Ask yourself this question: would I prefer reefer -- or dry van freight?
Frey Miller = reefer;
PTL = dry van.
I previously drove for Schneider, as well.
You're right about them -- you will be stuck up in the northeast -- like it, or not!!!

Looks like with PTL you'd have more options for potential overnite parking, if need be:
