Correct, so if she goes to another school in another state, would not having any id be a problem besides having the Iowa permit?

Better call the school she's interested in and ask what they will require.

    Paul Bunyan Thanks this.

Thanks, she's gonna try to talk to upper management cause it came out of nowhere and they ran her MVR twice and it never came up

That's a good idea; talk to someone in the school that has decision making power. If it doesn't work out though, there's other choices to get her cdl.

    Paul Bunyan Thanks this.

She should also get her MVR on her own to see what is on there.

If the school has run twice and it was clean but third time comes back with something, sounds like someone messed up with information.

Ok let me see if I understand right. For her to go to another school she will have to get the permit for that state? How will she do that with a permit from another state? Would it be just like when I got my cdl, I had a tn license went to school in co and the school just gave me domicile paper, would it work the sane way?

Wait a minute. Fill this in for us, you are leaving out a few things.

    What kind of accident?

What do you mean if it is over so much money they have to dismiss her?

What do you mean no driver's license?

If she has no DL, then she can't get a CDL.

If your accident has a value of a certain amount, no trucking company will hire her.

The permit expires and she goes back home being what she was before she had it on a ordinary car license. And that is that.

Unless she wants to raise a million dollars and purchase a truck herself and become a O/o on her own authroity. Paying her own everything from Uncle Sam's taxes on down. (Her insurance will eat her alive, I think it's 25K a year to run a truck you own business....)

There is nothing else for me to work with. Your information is so bare of details. Come on, this is TTR with inquiring minds. Add more information please.

x1, it is this part that gets me, "... with an expired permit and no drivers license can she still go to another cdl school and get her cdl?"

I have to assume that she has no license because of the accident, and if that's the case, then why should she even try for a CDL?

I can get a permit in Arkansas for a few dollars in a few minutes across town. No big deal. Now if I moved back to Maryland and wanted a permit there, I needed to show 30 days residency first.

Whereever you are living at is your domicile. CDL's are good nationally.
