on nearly every application there is an area in which you have to list schools you went to, subjects studied, what type of degree, diploma or certificate you have. usually "last school attended" will be listed first then you list in back order from there, so if trucking school was your "last school", that would be listed first on any application, with dates, "attended from/to"......failure to list schools is an omission on an application......no blanks are allowed....
cdl-no school

I got my lincense through schnider and on an application I never put schnider school.
-
that would be an "in house school" or "on the job training". you were covered by Schneider's insurance. all which can be verified. -

Wargames and Flying Dutchman Thank this. -
Great to hear...it can be done! Best of luck
Wargames Thanks this. -
I went to "truck driving school", aka, CDL preperation class, and logged 2 hours behind the wheel. Companies will train you. Schneider is one...it's their school...but because you already have a CDL, you can skip that part...Charlotte NC.

Glad you got a job sounds like a nice one. I would like to point out that I have drove local for 6 years and am getting back OTR. I was going to go to school with the companies. I was turned away because I already have a CDL. Some of the companies I have talked to dont offer school to drivers with a CDL. I have also found out that some want me to go the whole 160 hrs of school again.

I never went to school and never was asked what school I went to. My record spoke for itself. However, I went through the process when schools weren't that great and a lot of drivers were trained on the job. But I doubt after you have a few years in a company is going to ask you what school you went to. Thank God for companies that are self insured, I wouldn't want a driver next to me that didn't know his ### from a hole in the ground.
