My permit is expiring soon, and I was wondering if I have to retake all the test to renew it. Also I have all my endorsements, so do I have to retake those test as well?

Do you happen to know how much it is?

As an Illinois cdl holder, I know for a fact that your permit is good for 1 year. Once it expires you have to retake all tests you took and pay associated fees
ajohnson Thanks this. -

That changed July 1. 2015. Permit is only good for 6 months now

They are changing stuff every year now it seems. I have to renew my cdl n hazmat in a years time
-
So you have to retake all the tests then? Does this include endorsements as well?
-
I don't think you have to retake tests. Just pay another $50.00

Looks like il changed a lot since I got my cdl 2 years ago. You can renew 1 time as long as you go within 5 days after experation
