That is just stupid. I went from a B to an A and didn't get no permit. Took the test , driving/computer, and got hard copy then. Unless things have changed I see no difference now.

So, I went to the DMV in Daytona Beach and they told me I couldn't get another sixth month permit, but they told me they would give me a one day permit on the the day of the test if my employer calls them. I went to the Edgewater Fl, DMV and they allowed me to get my permit, so go figure. just in case anyone wants to know.

Doesn't florida hand out cdl a licenses like candy? Isn't that why a lot of states don't accept them transferring over when a florida cdl holder tries to move to another state?

You have to live in Miami Dade county, and speak either Spanish or Creole (Haitian "version" [read- bastardization] of French) exclusively. Then all it takes is enough cash.....
