Michigan doesn’t require a year of having a drivers license, they do require legal residency and work permit to get one.

i heard texas has that requirement.

now schools are a different story, they may require a year of driving for school.

Thank you, appreciate it. the people you know, who emigared this way, do you know how long the visa proces was?

Thank you. I guess I'll have to see where I end up, and call a close in that state, to make sure I get a proper answer. No point in moving there, if I'm not allowed to take my CDL straight away.

I was looking at Go To Logistics that @mp4694330 recommended.
This company has terminals all over the place. If they sponsor you maybe you can work out of one of the terminals in a good location and set up a legal address in that area.
Here's some good locations with Go2 terminals, in my opinion:
    Phoenix, Arizona
    Reno, Nevada
    Salt Lake City, Utah
    Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX

Here's a list of the other Go2 terminals:
    Chicago, IL
    Los Angeles, CA
    San Francisco, CA
    Jersey City, NJ
    Houston, TX
    Denver, CO
    Seattle, WA

I just got a reply from them. All the visa administration costs are around $10.000, and then a two year contract when hired. The only problem is the very long administration time(around two years). Not really sure what I think about this. The smartest thing would probably be to move to Canada, while this is in proces, so I have experience and CDL in US when I get the green card.
