You should do that as soon as you can. You do not want any restriction on your CDL. I blame the CDL school for not teaching you standard shift. The way it should go is learn the standard transmission then go to Auto's. However, these cheap schools see a way to shorten their course by just teaching the Auto's and leaving the student out in the cold if the company he wants to go to has standards.
