Pulling forward and then stopping in a certain space is exactly what you do at a scale house ...what Are you confused about?? You stop in a certain spot to weigh your steers or drives....there's usually an arrow pointing down as well...

It's not the stopping that bothers me, it's the fact you're not allowed to stop before the box and GOAL. It's a one-and-done chance.

I guess it's simply can you follow instructions as if it was a DOT officer and he tells you stop right here....or when pulling up to a guard shack.....being smooth and not stopping make for less jerky movements

    tscottme Thanks this.

Does the guy in the scale house speak Hindi? Or just bring up the translator app on the phone and shove it back and forth and make those faces at one another....

Just finished the CDL class and I graduated Aug. 27th. Yep, you have to do a forward stop in a 3ft box and only stop once. One of my classmates did a double stop and lost 5 points on the forward stop. When he did the forward offset with the trailer wheels in the 3ft box he missed that to and took 5 more points and he failed. Just find you a spot on the pavement to look down on and you will be ok on your forward stop.

    Trucker61016 and FredTheBasset Thank this.

Another question: If you run a red light on the road test, obviously you fail, but... does the examiner give you a citation?

    Trucker61016 Thanks this.
