I might pay for CDL school but it's a month of expenses, so my other option is to attend a CDL school that has at least a basic weekly pay starting from when training starts.
I have seen this on various company sites, not sure if I'm misunderstanding it, but spending a couple months training with pay -even marginal- might be better right now than a month without any income at all.
Obviously going to CDL school allows for better options getting hired somewhere a month out, while signing on with a big carrier is selling my soul for a year. But right now there are pros and cons with both.
Are there any companies with that type of sign-on paid-while-training CDL program, in the western states? I have looked at Maverick and Stevens. Thanks!
