Are there any companies that allow you your fiance to train together? We want to get our cdl and become team drivers. But we would like to train together. Is that possible or no?

Two things I've heard in my search for the same thing. I've heard that convenant, right on their web site, says they'll train new couple teams together. Another thought that had me relaxed was that I talked with a manager at a local LTL (Less than load) carrier that said we would train in separate trucks, but we'd be home nightly. Hubby and I want to spend that "honeymoon" period, of getting on the road, together, but we feel that home nightly would give us a similar experience, and we could still share our days. Females would train with female drivers. Good luck... wait for @Chinatown to answer, he usually hits these questions with direct answers. Post where you live and what kind of trucking you want, like home weekly, local, long haul, etc.
line Thanks this. -
covenant would be one. also heard schneider ? the company i went with trained us seperately and my gf had a female trainer. honestly, it was not bad

I’ll be dead honest about this . I trained a female when I was 22 at FFE. Her husband trained on another truck . We hooked up . So do it together or with male male female female

Unless you’re Swingers or something then go for it !

Two trainees newbie together in a truck does not make a team fresh out of school.
Both of you will be with trainers for a while. If done right. Both of you will be teamed up without too much trouble.
I remember when FFE handed me my spouse out of her orientation, one said that I should focus on making a trainer out of her so that we can essentially create income to the house in excess of 200K annually. Ha. She had her limitations but as long that truck went forward no one really cared.
You two will either marry and do well or you two will be going your seperate ways soon enough. Trucking in a office the size of a closet has a way of making people understand one another fast.line Thanks this. -
"I think CR England does that.
Covenant was mentioned, but they train cdl graduates. They might pay for private cdl school, then hire you both for further training in the same truck. Their training trucks are set up for 3 people. Call Covenant and ask.

Put your location on your profile so we know the hiring area you live in.
CFI might be a good choice because they can pair your fiancée with a female driver for the training portion. CFI has their own cdl school and provides meals and lodging.
CFI is proud to support female truck drivers.
"One of our very own female drivers, Stephanie Klang, was named as an ATA’s America’s Road Team Captain. Stephanie surpassed an incredible milestone of driving over three million safe miles!"
Company-paid Tuition
With a 12-month commitment to drive for CFI, qualified students can now receive fully paid tuition to attend driving school in Missouri. We’ll even cover your room and board for the duration of the four-week course.
Note : CFI does hair follicle drug test, so if you've done anything within the past 12 months, don't go there. Stevens Transport has cdl school and still does urine test, so you must be clean for at least 90 days. Stevens has some husband/wife teams so will probably be glad to hire you and your fiancee.
