NO DON'T GO THERE. You will not get very many hours actually driving, more range time. What little driving time you get is all city. I taught for them for a short period of time and their teaching methods are not very good. They give you the third party test by Ohio standards not Michigan. I know what the Mich rules are because I taught for another CDL school for 5 yrs. They like to treat students like mushrooms. feed them BS and keep them in the dark. They use one cab-over tractor in the yard, how up to date and practical is that.

Thanks for the feedback. However, I'm wondering if the MT Training you were at (in Michigan?) is the same company as the one here in Dallas. Here's the one in Dallas...

Unrelated to MT Training... I just got off the phone with Diesel Driving Academy. They've got a 20 week (!!!) program that costs $10,200. (Sounds like they help their students get about $6K worth of loans.) They told me before you enroll, they make sure that Covenant Trucking will hire you based on a background check. 20 weeks is a looooong program! You're still home every night. So, I'm not sure how far from Dallas / what kind of roads you get to drive on.

Any thoughts on Diesel Driving Academy as well as MT Training's Dallas operations would be appreciated! -
I'm sorry, those comments pertain to Trainco Lansing Mi, I should have specified that.

Thanks for the clarification.
Sorry to hear Trainco isn't any good. But at least they're not in Dallas.
