Most training companies will reimburse your tuition so you will get your money back that you paid for a private school. A good company will not charge you as a trainee. You will be paid a small amount while with a trainer then when you go solo your CPM will be raised.

I would think so. Its called RDTC- Roehl Driver Training Center. It is a three week course in Marshfield WI. When I did it it was four weeks mon-fri. Now it is three weeks with some optional saturday work. They will set up you up in an area hotel. When I did it nine years ago the cost was $2400 w/o hotel $2700 with hotel. I'm sure it is a little more now. I financed the whole thing thru a Marshfield bank. Roehl took I think $50 a check to pay for it but reimbursed me $100 every 10000 miles. So if you stick around long enough it won't cost anything.

No there are not a lot of female trainers. It is kind of a problem. When I was a student there was one girl in the class. I ran into her about nine months after we finished school and Roehl already wanted her to train because of the lack of female trainers. I sure there is more but I can only think of one. I went through two of the trainer foundation deals that your husband did. One when I started training and another when they implemented the new training program. Between the two classes, about 50 people and all were men. Roehl makes male trainers willing to train females go thru a sensitivity class. I didn't do it at the time because I didn't think there would be a lot of female flatbedders and I have a student almost every week anyways. I will probably take it in the future just to see if there is a difference in training men vs. women. My wife thinks I should take the sensitivity course but not actually train women.
    Good luck at school.

Thanks bucks. Yeah my husband would have had to take that class too. He declined because he didn't want to be put in a position of having an angry female accuse him of sexual harassment. I don't have a problem with a male trainer but I figured there wouldn't be too many willing to train a female. I'll keep ya posted.:biggrin_25520:
