Yesterday I tested all 6 tests.

I was most worried about hazmat and air brakes...

I passed air brakes, hazmat but failed combos, doubles / tripples, core test, tankers.

Today I took combos and core test and passed. Tomorrow I'm going to pass tanker and dbls/triples but sometimes it gets tricky.

Tell your wifey to read each question than repeat it back with each answer, 1 answer will sound stupid to eliminate it, than do the same for the other two. I also found that secound guessing myself hurt me on about 6 questions.. Good luck to your wifey

I passed my written tests first shot. Had to retest on the road test . . . rubbed a curb too many . . . I was nervous. Aced my second road test.

As far as the written tests, as long as you study the manual and keep your head together when it comes time to take them, they should not be a problem.

Yeah, I think most mistakes on these driving tests are due to nerves. Same with the orientation tests. Everyone is so nervous the first day of orientation because they have to take a driving test in front of everyone. My wife was so nervous she actually backed in first shot with no pull-ups! She mistakenly set the bar pretty high for all the guys, including me! I took a pull-up!

Sometimes, nerves make you do better than if you weren't nervous.

My hubby felt that he had to pass his road test from driving school on the first shot, since it took me two tries for my road test for my license. What was odd was that he had the same road instructor that I had at the school! He really had to step up.:biggrin_25525:

Well guys, since her last failure was the third for the pre-trip she had to start over. Today she took all and passed all except the pre-trip again. But she will try again tomorrow. She made a 77, needs an 80.
I take my driving test tomorrow. Now the written tests never worried me at all, I knew I knew more than enough. But the driving tests is a little worrisome to me. I know I can do it, but I also know I can make stupid mistakes.
The wife will delay her driving test for two weeks, but we arranged for eight more hours of driving time for her. I think that will give her a lot more confidence, which she needs.
Thanks to everyone for the help, encouraging words, good wishes, and letting us know that others have had some trouble. It has been a big help to her (and thus me!).
