" She yelled across the shop for someone by name who apparently was the sticker boy... I'm sure every shop has a sticker boy who is specially trained in sticker applications."

"no stickers, we really need to find a better qualified sticker boy. "

"I finally got my stickers "

Sticker boy, Now this is FUNNY:biggrin_2559:

She(Jeri) thinks she is saving the company money so that is why everything go to the terminal to get fixed

RRW, if you are going to the Harrisburg International, call ahead to get directions to a place to drop your trailer. You cannot take a trailer into that International. There isn't room for one. Additionally, after you drop your trailer (up the hill and down a deadend street) go behind the shop to go in. The front area is very tight and they will tell you to go back there anyway.

It's a good shop. Just very small driveways and parking.

Numbers, were those lottery draws or are they your nieces and nephews? Cute family if they are.

    You are hilarious!

I doubt that saving the company money was or is her motive, and here's my thoughts on that: First of all, it is my guess that this Jeri fellow-ette has been working in the shop long enough to have established some experience. Therefore, this probably wasn't her first time requesting an oil sample on one of their fleet trucks. With that being said, let's revisit that special word again, "experience". She is probably well aware of the procedure in dealing with the prognosis of an oil sample and how to go about having these results properly analyzed. Instead she chose to pull the fire alarm before actually seeing any smoke (a figure of speech).#

If her sincere intent was to actually save the company money, she should have not had a load that was on it's way to a timely scheduled delivery re-powered. It doesn't take a physicist to figure that one out.#

So there I am sitting with no wipers in the pouring rain at a Petro shop where they can get me back on the road within a couple of hours. Again, this is where Dr. Einstein walks into the classroom and starts scribbling nonsense on the blackboard. If a company's equipment is sitting idle, then obviously the company is not making money, and if the employee is not earning a paycheck (or much of one), than the company is not showing any profit on that particular unit.#

Instead of getting a unit back up and running as soon as possible, Jeri decides to allow this unit and the employee to sit idle over an estimated period of time of 3 or 4 days, or whenever the weather was to clear, whichever came first. Meteorologist Jeri forecasted the weather to clear up "soon" because according to her reliable smart phone app sources, this storm front was pushing through within hours... however, it did not - guess how I know this? Yeah, I was there. Local businesses and evening activities had all been cancelled due to flooding in the area. Reports of commercial and private property damage were coming in by the hundreds. Meantime back at the Celadon maintenance department, weather-woman Jeri is trying to figure out how to get a refund on her (not-so) smart phone weather app.#

Now here's the real kicker... upper management oversees her corporate decision (including my DM who looks out for his driver's interests) and says, "yuck-yuck, sounds like a plan to us". My main concern is, how did our species ever rise to the top of the food chain with Dr. Simpleton and Professor Nincompoop in charge of our country's commercial and political affairs?

And still,I wonder, after that very intelligent post O.P.,why are there Truck Drivers who put up with that ####?

Granted, truck driving,as in any profession, has 20% of dumb-dumbs,but,unless the MAJORITY of the driver's at Celadon are "taking it",that is the only way they can get by with "giving it"..:biggrin_25511:

It is a mystery to me..:mbeard:

As far as the elog stickers, I would imagine that this is a DOT requirement to have all commercial vehicles that are on elogs to have it displayed on the outside. I'm not positive, but it would be my guess that it would help DOT identify log verifications before an inspection. It's all politics, I try to live in a world of simplicity and nature. I'll seldom understand why man arrives to the conclusion that they do, but I'm sure it has something to do with money.#

Next time I'm in the maintenance shop chatting with my buddy Jeri, I'll ask the sticker boy, that is if I can find him. I think he lives behind one of the stacks of pallets out back and only comes out whenever they have a sticker alert.
