Wow time to get some popcorn, here we go again with another major carrier failing. Maybe usx cel and jbh can all merge to prevent this and become the Largest way beyond knight/swift

The whole thing was predictable. With as many International Lone and Pro Stars Quality and Celadon are holding the note on, that alone would bankrupt Bill Gates.
Mike2633, mjd4277 and Highway_Executive Thank this. -
Didn't read all posts but here's a $64 000 question. Which company will be next (and is listed on stock exchange) in your opinion?
Mike2633 Thanks this. -
i'm still here, "broke down" trying to get my truck fixed. The weirdest thing happen to me; I got fuel at this mom and pop place. I put the nozzle in on the driver's side and before I could get around the truck to the passenger side to fuel up the first nozzle flew out....diesel went everywhere. I cleaned it up the best I could and continue fueling. I get maybe 30-40 miles down the road and notice smoke coming from the fuel tank area so immediately pull over believing that the truck is possibly on fire....I jump out with the fire extinguisher and there's nothing smoking anymore. Look under the hood, the sides, the brakes ect Can't find or smell where it's coming from......
I keep driving down the highway and the smoke (light grey smoke) starts up again. I keep on the gas and watch the mirrors....so then I start to wonder is it smoking when I hit the gas....I hit the gas speeding up then take my foot off watching the mirrors then hit the gas again.....eventually a hill comes up and the truck is going from 9th to 10th, 9th to 10th, 9th to 10th gear.
Once I get over the hill the check engine light comes on and it's still smoking from that area near the fuel tank so I said ok lets pull over again. When I go to look this time I see this weird liquid kinda shinny which turn out to be diesel on the frame of the truck. The temperature in Texas was also 101 that day. I suspect that's what causing or helping the truck to smoke (not a mechanic). So then I tried to wipe it off a with towel and mannn it was hot. So I go get gloves, pour water on it to scrub it clean (the frame, catwalk, glad hands ect) and it starts hiss and sizzle.
Something not right. So I call celly don and a course the phones are all messed up and only way to get to them is via qualcomn. They basically say get to a safe place and we will tow you. I don't like talking about people but please explain to me how it takes 24 hours for a team truck to get to you to repower your load when their less then 300 miles away???
But shorter story shorter got a truck wash and the truck is no longer smoking. Check engine light came on because of the "turbo" (I think that was because I was playing on the hill) and since I choose to go the dealer, the dealer wanted to give me a PM and look at the turbo a little further. I told the tech fine check and replace everything that's under warranty while your under there lol.
Should be on the road tomorrow. Check out time at the hotel is at 11am.Mike2633, diesel drinker, JohnOTR and 1 other person Thank this. -
