The only time that happens is when there is massive stupidity involved.

FMs get to pay the late fees.

Never happens. Company drivers don't get dinged for being out of route.

Huh? Where did you get that piece of BS from? Normally you don't get any QualCom harassment... and managing your hours is up to you. If one makes a habit of missing appointments, then there will be some QC messages to make sure you're up and going... but you'd expect that if you are a complete slug.

Since you've never run for Prime, you don't have a clue. The fact is you'd be better off if you were running for Prime too.

One thing you should look at is pay during training (after CDL) and pay once you go solo on your own truck. I know how I'd make my decision on Prime vs Swift. I don't know what Celadon pays. I do recommend Prime's program, but that's because hubby went thru training there after forking out $$$ at a private school.

Drivers appearently see thru the higher pay smokescreen.

JB Hunt tried the same tactic with their pay.

It didn't work for them either........

And their is a huge difference between training, and teaming.

    Not really.

The driver made a stupid mistake, was on a road he shouldn't have been by his own fault. Was blocking traffic, had to call the cops. Got himself stuck.

The guy wasn't even in route to a customer. He pulled off the interstate to go to a Petro and didn't go the right way and thought the easy route back was the best route.

They hide those Petros pretty well, so I guess it's not his fault really.

lets clarify they offered him two choices. He pays for the $450 tow and it's an incident, he doesn't pay and its considered an preventable accident on his company record. If he chose not to pay than one more preventable in the next two years will get him fired.

no, just a company driver at a company where my coworkers would have had my back and certainly wouldn't refer to my driving as massive stupidity. I guess some people like driving in that type of environment.
