You are assuming that means we are holding that hand set to our heads. There is nothing wrong with a blue tooth. I see many truck drivers holding the #### phone to their heads driving with their elbow. If you can't afford a blue tooth you need a different job!!!

It is illegal unless you agree to it personally.

They all have unlimited usage options, but the full paper bill lists all phone calls. They can always supoena them. Plus you're right, I like to see the office have time to go through all the records of everyone all the time and match them up to the drive time on the quallcomm, yeah that will be a good use of time right? lol

Not always true. Many laws they are trying to make, are by people who don't have a clue about being in a truck, and make no sense what so ever for the driver.

The you obviously have no idea what it's like being on the road for weeks and weeks and not being in contact with family. It's not headsets that's the problem, it's the ####### drivers that don't pay attention while they are on them!!

I really want to see the dispatchers stop calling all the time when they know you're driving. That right there is why it will never work!

Fortunately we are together in the truck, so while one is driving the other is always available on the phone (as far as anyone would ever know).

Our company got the 2013 Cascadia's with those stupid warning systems. We will not get into one. I will become a lease operator on an older one before I do that. I have heard nothing but bad things. Not to metion that the stupid thing starts breaking for you!! really! That will cause accidents all by itself. You are a professional driver, therefore need complete control of what you're doing!

Nevada, has a total hand held ban now. It came into law Jan 01,12 It is a primary law, meaning leo can pull you over if they see you with cell phone in hand, or up to ear.(blue tooth is legal.
In the first two months of the year, over 6,000 tickets were issued state wide.
