I would love for a company to fire me for not caving in to their illegal demands. I have been wanting to retire anyway. As far as cameras go, a few drivers whacking off on cam ought to fix that problem.

That practice would probably get added to company handbooks as an offense leading to immediate termination.

Sysco Baltimore just fired a 16 yr driver when his hard braking/ bump cam came on and they saw him with a bluetooth. Let's see if IBT gets his job back.

I guess they better ban radios, CB, CD player, eating while driving, drinking coffee or soda while driving, shifting gears (very distracting), talking to yourself or a passenger, etc.

Talk about stuff getting out of hand - give me a break. The only defence I would have for comanies that institute this type of rule is that some dirtbag lawyer is just waiting and licking his chops to sue. I just think it's all gone a little overboard.

if a person is stupid they are stupid a rule dosnt really help. if not the cell phone then he will probably crash changing a cd in LA rush hour. or not understanding the "objects maybe closer then they apear" thing in the mirrors lol.

Yeap this is going way overboard when is enough, enough? At the rate this is escalating there will soon be more insane ideas to isolate the driver from family. Trucking dont own me I own myself. Soon we will have cameras like in AZ that were illegal to catch speeders except they will legalize these things and set them up every 2miles and soon even my 2yr old will have a 2k fine for talking on his toyphone. Bunch of BS. F--- Ray Lahood.

Since the current administration(Obama) has been in office,60,000 new regulations(laws) have been put into effect. Not just trucking, but everywhere. The American people have lost their will to fight anymore. No one stands up and say's no more! And that goes for the republican's too.The last 2 generations of young people have been taught by the public schools to be submissive and to follow whatever the government tells them to do.

There's no more John Wayne's boys!
