You have that right. Headed to a real emergency with lights and siren going and the other driver coming to the stop sign was turned around talking to the kid and almost ran the stop in front of us.

The dead end is the inability to recognize the difference between those two scenarios.
If, for instance... you do not see the risk in using cellphones while driving... there's really nothing I can say to dissuade your mind or convince you otherwise.

I got a ticket 5 days ago for looking at the gps on my phone ($500 for using cellphone). The officer told me that he knew i wasn't talking or texting, he can still write it for any electronic device...
