The app is because I like to write stuff down.
And because I can. Also useful when I'm not in the truck.
I have a bunch of apps. I like to push buttons.:biggrin_25519:

I am starting next week on an adventure with a new company next week. They use the Big road log book www.bigroad.com/driver-home . I use Eclipse Log Books as I am a laptop guy. My eyesight is not so good that I enjoy smart phone apps. I like large print. Anyway, I will be learning the smart phone apps. That is the future. Qual comm is getting out of the elog business according to Land Line magazine.

As to back up copies. You can be carrying multiple logs as long as they contain the same information. You will never be wrong having paper logs backing up the Qualcomm system. You are not in control of the Elogs as your company edits them all the time. You get "written up" for failing to "log" a break. So they change it and put your break in. They do not write you up for Not taking a break as that would be a violation and count against their scores.

I like the Eclipse system as it is as easy to change as e logs and much much neater then paper. You have to have a printer so if you have to print out the last 8 days you can. As the driver who has control of the Laptop, only you can edit them.

Logging is easy once you get the hang of it.
