What do you mean by restrictions? If you are wanting unlimited data for streaming you are sol. Rogers has a roam like home plan that works in both countries. You can get a phone from visible in the usa. It uses Verizon towers. Truly unlimited. But does not work in Canada. Only $35 a month. I think you have to keep it active or you lose your number. You have to be careful as many services do not work everywhere. In the U SA att and Verizon have the best coverage. Also the most expensive. I pay about $80 a month for Roger's. I use it in both countries. Comes with unlimited calls and text. 8 gb of data and you can buy more. Canada has some of the most expensive cell service in North America.

 

I have the Telus can/us plan. It’s unlimited. I have the 20 gig plan, unlimited texting and calling.

I think Bell has a plan for Canada and the states also. Not sure on the details of it. I have both a Canadian phone and a U.S. one because I use my phones as a hot spot on both sides of the border.

 

Get two phones payg, one from each country and use them accordingly when in each country.

 

Im with Tmobil for 5 years, Can-usa-Mexico packaje , i never turn off data in Canada, flat rate 110$/month 2 phones good connection on On to Tx roite. Ive Been with Verizon, Sprint before, they sux blood suckers

 

I'm on bell network. I pay $145 a month for 50GB of internet and unlimited calls/texts. After 50GB internet speeds drop to 512kbps for unlimited GB. Although that speed I can usually only use Facebook, maps and videocall.

To OP, I think you are better off getting a prepaid plan in the states.

and they offered me the 50gb for 125, first month free, no contract
