I give you concrete guys a big thumbs up, i did tri-axle tanks for a year and couldnt imagine doing that with it spinning in the air! I now deliver flatbed loads to construction sites and it can get pretty technical really quickly, thats when im glad i dont have a spinning drum behind me!

The spinning drum isn't that bad. I was in a cement truck once when I drove for a transport outfit. Drove a brand new Pete mixer from Fort Myers, FL to Cocoa Beach, FL. The only things that sucked about it was being governed at 57 mph and that thing needed a 40 acre field to turn in!

Isn't that crazy. The tandem-tandem are worse.
-
Dang! Glad I never had to drive those.
-
Anyone of you mudders run these?...

I've had hot loads like that before but I've never had to sit that long where I couldn't get it out of the truck.

We carry a bottle of retarder in all our trucks and if you add it with in an hour of loading it will save the load for a couple of hours. Had one load pulled up, 11 yards on guys says you got the color in it?? I said what color, he said ah hell had to drive and hour round trip to get the color with the mud on the job already. Dumped that stuff in and when we started to pour an hour an 20 minutes later it was still like it just got batched.

As of now Ive drove for small outfits and have never had a governed truck, I hope I never get one either...
-
All of the ones in our redi mix division are governed at 59. But with a 55 mph limit in CA...cant really complain!
