Good Christ man! I had no idea mixer drivers made that much. I always lumped you boys in with dump truck drivers, where it’s a niche form of trucking where there’s a lot more to it than just driving, but the pay was never there to reflect that. Glad to see I was wrong.

Yeah here is our contract, dump truck drivers make the same here lol.
I like mixer but I don’t see myself doing it forever. This company is massive and going to get cameras etc.
I know a small mom n pop paving company that trains you on everything. So I could be low bedding one day and dump truckin the next, I’m gonna hit them up. I’d rather be petermobiln’ with no cameras. Lol
All commercial construction here pays well.Attached Files:

That’s phenomenal. Thanks for sharing that info. With your particular company is it a lot of big commercial pours or so you do a lot of residential stuff?

I do a lot of commercial, we dump like 700 yards every other day at msp airport.
We do a ton of city work too, we have the contract with the city of Minneapolis so we do all their sidewalk, road base, stop light bases etc.
We do it all though, one pour I might be doing a driveway, next I’m doing highway crash barriers. That’s the fun you never know, lol. You also never know when you’ll be off... sometime between 1pm and 7 usually.
It’s a good job, especially if you are doing roll offs or something making 20 an hour. Might as well drive a mixer...motocross25 Thanks this.
