I am currently a Package handler on the "Pre-load" shift, and a seasonal driver(during peek season). I unload trailers, and load package cars. There are currently only two feeder runs out of the center i work at. Even in major hubs you'll find that there is still an eighteen(18) - twenty(20) year wait.

I hope you realize you'll make less money your first year OTR than you currently do. Are you sure you can handle the "lifestyle?"

Personally I would stay away from driver's solutions. They are just a company that sends out mass applications to many companies. Mostly the mega-carriers. Chances are you will get pre-hires from just about every company they send your app to. Central is a very good, well rounded company that I highly recommend. If you are not interested in Central then I would recommend finding a company that you like and applying to them directly. Try to avoid the mega-carriers if at all possible. Ie: Swift, Werner, CRST, England, etc... You will have much better success with a slightly smaller company.

I did that gig for a while. Became a pre-load supervisor and hated that. Couldn't go back to loading package cars though so I left.
