Central is a good company to start with. Just dont expect to go home much. If you like being home dont be a truck driver you will fail. you need to have a strong anchor at home, there enough stress on this job alone so if you add whats going on at home to that makes it 400xs worse. I run western region and I get 2500-3000 miles a week. The drivers that seem to complain about central are the ones that like to sit around. I see the same drivers at the terminals when im through there and there the ones complaining. Im only at the terminals long enough to fuel or do my 10hr break or safety stuff. If your gunna be on the road work or you wont make money and wont be home. In this job your not gunna have a home life so yu may as well make money thats just the bare TRUTH. If someone tells you different there lying to you. You have to take alot of crap but if you just do the job that 25 mile load (yes 25 mile load). You will most likely be rewarded with a 2500 mile load. Dont complain about the short ones. If you do they just sit you till they want to give you something. Just take everything and stay in constat communications and give them heads up with problems. Dont tell them 3 hrs before a load is gunna be late. Do your trip planning so you know what its going to take to get it there. And always try to get as close to ytour drop and get a 10hr before you load or unload. It WILL maximize your miles i promise you. Good Luck
