When you rant on and only type a short paragraph you arent telling the whole story. Tell us eveything that is true and maybe someone might sympathize.

Does not really matter, they are all the same, same stories different company, Central, England, Swift all the same.

They did send me out on 28 days training. I flew through that also with flying colors. Only issue I had was in Albuquerque, NM when I got pulled over for Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle. They put on my DAC that they had fired me due to to many "Service Failures" when my FM and my Dispatchers were giving me deadlines that couldn't be met legally, or safely. Now I'm looking for work still, trying to get back into the trucking industry, but with the Economy the way it is, and what Central pulled, I can't even drive for England now.

As true as that may be you shouldnt have pulled those loads if you knew that you couldnt have made it legally. Thats on you for taking the loads. They do not care about your driving career as you are now finding out. By giving you illegal dispatches if they were planned that way is a crime. But accepting them is as well. You were more than likely a victim of f ups in load planning and FMs covering their a s s by giving you the load. As bad as that is you should have never taken the loads no matter what they told you to do. Unfotunately its on you not them. Thats the way it is. -
It's not a crime to accept a load with not enough time to deliver legal it's only a violation if you run over the HOS when running the load.
Also if he was sent the load via QC and said he can't deliver legal ,and gave his safe/legal eta ,and they still assigned the load ,and did not repowerin route to keep moving for ontime then that's on them if late . -
Another problem was that I had only been in the industry a short time and was told by my Driver Manager (Joe S) that as a Company Driver I was NOT allowed to decline a load, weather it be late or not. I'd brought it up with him time after time, no change in policy. I was stuck with the loads I had.

Hey if they sent you the loads ,and you made them aware you could not deliver safe/legal ,and they still had you run the load ,and did not reschedule or repower to meet the ETA then it's not your fault load was late ...I drove for Werner ,and they always had me pick up loads that needed a team to final ontime ,but they had me pick them up to get them rolling ,and always got load repowered in route to keep it rolling or last resort they re-scheduled .Last edited by a moderator: Feb 3, 2009

Thanks for that information. Since I've been out of Central, I felt it was actually my fault...I wanted a second opinion. Now, when I see the trucks driiving through my state, I actually miss what I did. I miss driving the big-trucks. I have a few questions following this post... 1. Is there a way I can get that corrected on my DAC so that I might find decent work? 2. What companies will hire me with only 5 months experience? Hell, I thought of moving to my home-land of Germany to drive truck... just to find work.

My son was fired from Central for paperwork problems. I don't know what is on his DAC but with less than 6 months on the road, Werner hired him.

Well if you have a good mvr and no accidents you should be able to find work . As far as dac/usis you can dispute the information reported to the service just like you could with credit agencies .
But if you can't get it removed from dac/usis file then find a company that will hire with last job being a termination then get in 2-6 months ,and most companies will hire you ...Werner would probably hire you ,but with slow freight maybe not ,but if you really want to keep driving then get applications out to every company that hires in your area .
