Yea right. Recruiting and retention my butt. Recruiting I can see but as for retention, I doutb the megafleets really give a hoot!!!

 

I have that meat load panhandle! if you count subway pepperoni...lol my next load is beer!

 

Hey now were talking.. I got somekind of bread for subway.. So all we need is pizza sauce.. And we got beer and pizza.. Sounds good to me! Right now I'm off at a rest area on 84.. Got 40 miles to shipper and 2 hours to get there in.. They canceled my orientation for lease op.. Gotta come back after I get over to chicago..

On a good positive side.. L/o said they'd have someone look at my truck.. And if we can't figure out why my truck can't get decent mpg and why the oil pressure is so low.. We'll switch me out to a new truck.. And I'm either getting a 386 or a 780 volvo.. I'm assuming ill get a peterbuilt.. Either way.. Let's hope they can either fix my kw or let me get that 386 I've been dreamin of here lately!

 

what's orientation for lease ops not that it matters to a company driver... You can have my volvo! I am at the pilot in simpsonville, KY. Stevens tried to park next to me but figured out he didnt set himself up right. so he turned around and parked on the other side and took him 25 minutes to back in with 2 empty spots to work with. The pilot got packed with trucks trying to leave. On the side of the door it said "contractor division".

Another funny thing this morning... driving through chicago some 4 wheeler cut off a truck on my right so he backed off then saw him cut me off... On the CB i just hear "Central, Run that ##**** over!" I had to answer... "Can't, my truck only goes 62!"

 

I dunno what it is.. I keep canceling on going to it.. I'm sure they'll try and tell me how to run my buisness better, better mpgs and how to increase my bottom line.. I know how.. Its called get off your lazy @zz and run me like my new dm is.. Then I can save money, get my truck washed, eat more than once a day or so.., get some half decent lug covers, add 400 chicken lights..okay maybe not that many.. Maybe a few.. And save up hardcore for when I bust outta this joint..

Well got my first taste of real truckin today.. My spedo messed up.. And allowed me to run 95mph before I shut it off.. For 30 glorious minutes I was running 75 from tremonton to ogden.. It was grand.. Then I shut my truck off and my dreams went bye bye.. Oh well.. It was fun while it lasted.. And I actually avg 6.3 on that high speed bout.. Wish I could figure out how to make it break again tomorrow.. So I could make grand island by tom night.. Prolly won't even get close.. Maybe just maybe that bossleman at 107 in nebraska..

 

Need to be careful about that. Don't know about your company, but mine always checks the logs for speed. Governed at 62 so logs can't show more than 60.

 

Ya.. I was afraid of that.. I got that fast gene in me.. But my ole lady decided to keep me in line and not run it at 95.. I just wanted the kw to know what it feels like.. It was crazy tho.. To run 75 had to run at 1600 rpm.. I thought our gearin was set at 3.36.. I guess their set higher..

 

it seems to only happen w/ W9s it happened with my trainer too. It still tracks the overspeed, but your odometer doesn't keep track of the miles.

 

god it's ##### hot in nc tomorrow I have a brokered beer load... Lets see what goes wrong. Should I be scird?
