Your work history is the prospective employers only tool they (think) can judge your character beyond arrest record, conviction record, drug use...all negative. The job history is supposed to be positive re-enforcement.
That simply stated, today everything is driven (pun intended) by in"human"e resources, insurance and gov't aka DOT regulations.
Just present an honest "story" that is not refutable by public record.

    Good Luck,
You don't have to be perfect to work in any capacity...including trucking...You are human and are subject to error.

It is only 3 years if you have driven within the past 12 months if you were off the road as I was for 4 years due to wife being sick, I had to provide 10 years.

If you can take an award letter or something with you when you get to Utah that would be the best. If not they just have to call the state you reside in and try to track it down.

Remember to carry a folder with your documentation with you for your history when you go to school. My recruiter Brandi was impressed that i sent her a book of documentation with my application. DMV 5year, DD-214, army retirement cert:biggrin_2559:, 1 accident report, Qwest retirement cert:biggrin_25525:, final court paperwork for a misdemeanor:biggrin_25510:. 100K & 200K mile safe driving awards from TMC. Carry it with you so nothing is disputable. I'll be in Utah in 2 weeks for school(16years off the road) and will try to get as much backing practice as possible. Good luck!

I do have letters from unemployment stating from start finish when i received it. it was only 12 weeks. I just don't want any gaps.

    Hey Papi,
That's exactly what I am doing. My recruiter is also Brandi. I sent her everything she has asked me so for including a DMV abstract of my license I should be starting class Sept 7th if all goes well. Hope to see you there.

    Thanks for the info guys
    Be Safe God Bless

just got preset. with another load after my next load to billings mt. I need to deadhead about 350 miles to pick up a load that goes 190 miles. :biggrin_2556: LOL

My trainer told me if your 99 is in montana, or one of the Dakotas then take the next load no matter what because if you dont you can get stuck there a few days.
