Oh nah dont have a limited vision because of the postcards. I was just saying what happened when I was younger with my family that was trucking. I really want to do this. I have thought long and hard about all the problems that go along with trucking. I know that there is alot of BS out there when it comes to trucking. My grandmothers boyfriend, Norris tried to talk me out of it and the when he knew he couldnt he tried to tell me to go to a community college to get my licence but I live to far from any of those schools. Nursing has just gotten old for me thats all. I want to see the road and i know I will be away from my family alot. The only person I will miss seeing everyday is my husband. But he plans on coming with me for a lilttle while. Right we are I guess you could say are seeing each other a lil too much everyday. I know if you are married you shouldnt feel that way but hey thats how it can be sometimes. He wanted to go into trucking also, but he is on morphine and hydrocodone for a bad back, so I know nooone would take him. But I know you can have people ride with you if you want and he is coming with me after training. I know its going be hard being away from him for weeks on end, but I am ready for it. All things aside, you just dont know how hard it is to find a job as a nurse where i live. I want to travel and see the states. If i gotta deal with **** from other people, I already can do that. Have had to deal with the like for years now. I cant wait to get out there and work my *** off.

Personally if its in your hair. Current tests says hair drug tests can go back 90 days. if you been smoking/doing drugs that recent you shouldnt be driving to be honest.
Not knocking you or anyone else. but if you wanna get high do it on your own dime on your own time. not on a companies time near my house. Dont wanna read or be part of an accident that the reason was driver was driving a reefer reefed out and blinked out at a red light killing someone or me.

    Quick question.

I am seeing a lot of day runners around here for central refrigeration and did not know they ran them. Are they hourly people driving or what? I see a lot of they haulers passing through though. And just to inform I from indianola, Mississippi read on here that central does have a drop off near by but only thought central was over road only

Robngraves, there are a few catfish places central has contracts with in the area, so the day cabs are to spot empties, transport from smaller farms, etc. Not unusual to see day cabs in that area.

Tinabell, if your hubby has a prescription for narcotics, do not release that info to Central or he won't be able to be even a rider on the truck. They tried telling me it says on the form the rider can't have any medications. I read them the contract and told them there isn't even a question to ask if the person is on any medication. After all of the stink we raised and the issues we raised about how wrong they did us, I wouldn't be surprised if they change the form.

We did turn in the truck. I am sure the truck will lease to someone else. Our trainer's truck leased to another driver in less than a week, and ours came complete with all the chrome, fridge, microwave, $11k in overmilage, and fresh inframe. I am sure there will be some gap, but I think it will be leased next week. Central's biggest issue is communication. They preach how they expect you to communicate, but trying to get someone else on the phone, or to return calls is unreal.

As far as leasing, on paper everything looks good, but I agree it is not all it is cracked up to be. While we wouldn't be where we are without our experiences leasing, I would still suggest drivers remain company. That goes especially so for solo drivers. We start orientation on Wednesday at another company, and look forward to the road ahead. I don't hate Central, and still feel it is a decent starter company, but my business background sees such an opportunity for improvement that they don't care about. There will always be more drivers starting, so why should they change anything? Central is a tool. Use it well, and do not let it use you.

What happend to the truck that a new or almost new truck needed an inframe?
Should not need that till 1 mill miles plus. Unless it was screwed up from the factory, in which case it would be a free inframe, with them paying for your down time or giving you a loaner.

Chrome, it was free, but facts are it was still done. We fought and fought with them for it to be done. We went through 7 gallons of oil between 20k oil changes. We got loaners the last two times. The second was the one that hit me in the head. There was just over 400k on the truck. The fight between getting cummins to cover their screw-ups and the issues with the concussion was more fight than it was worth.
