I told them to save their fingers and stop sending me the 'lease your truck' messages and they did. 9 months and still a company driver. Going to stay that way too...

I have been averaging 2500-2600 miles a week. If I am lucky I might actually break 4k for next week...

Heading to Logan, UT and got to stop in WVC for a minor repair. Will be their Thursday.

 

It is not Central's choice. It is the State of Utah's requirement..

 

so were you a new driver when u came to central? they are gonna be my first choice and im just trying to feel them out a litle before i sign up

 

Yep still sort paying off the tuition they paid for..

 

Stuck in ft worth tx my new cascadia has a bad stater I was able to get the road guy to start the truck so I could get to the dealer...otrm says I could drive it just never turn the truck off..I said that wasn't a good way to go besides shippers and receivers have idling rules and at fueling there r signs to turn off the engine as well I am waiting to get the truck fixedand hope I can get my dm to waive the idling since I can't get a hotel room amd have to leeabe the truck running

 

These ls three weeks have been bad ..scaling issues with overloaded trailer ..last truck broke its drive shaft hats how I got the cascadia still company driver..extra time on two loads in a row and now stuck in ft worth I have had to reschedule my home time three times now...up to now things have been pretty good 10-12k miles per month and I have taken a lot of home time for various reasons when I am out I normally do well I

 

I did talk to her but she seemed unsure so I wanted to throw it out here

 

One thing I will tell drivers is get in as early as u can as often as u can I have got extra loads this way and the 10 dollar bonus is nice as well..call on all your loads to confirm directions I have had a lot of mac 27 errors corrected this way also I ask when can I deliver can I park onsite can I drop and hook when u have the ability to be way early update dispatch if u hustle u can get extra miles and more loads reduce my layover and yes even change more than 1 walmart delivery because I was a day early did my unload and got a new load picked up before my original delivery time at walmart does it work all the time..of course not but it puts me in charge instead of the company..besides just about every time u ask dispatch for any info they r of little use ...if I direct them instead of letting them direct me life is better..now if only my truck was repaired

 

what was your expierence of the school? i hear its fast paced. were you lucky enough to get a decent truck?
