Chewy carmel, OMG!!! RU a goddess that has come to earth to take care of us mere mortals???
Widow and 1bad, so sorry to hear about your troubles. When it rains, it pours ,eh. Sending lots of good thoughts your way and hoping things work out.
Lets see, its 2130 and I'm in Des Moines. All kinds of parking spaces here. That few trucks on the road or just nobody going north?
Not a very good beginning myself for this road trip. Had to wait almost 6 hrs to even get a load coming off of hometime, 5 hrs to Dodge, a 34 hr reset, and the load is 2 hrs late coming out. Sigh. This is a 3 dropper for me. 2 in WI and the last in Joliet. Wonder if I'll get back to my 3000 miles a week this time?

Kraft thoughts aside for the moment, you could work internet for $20 a month through most truck stops, and less for the inverter, if you run only the printer, you can use a $60 inverter. And you can get a cheap printer, but the ink's going to get you eventually. okay, computer engineer/trucker with electronics bit out of my system.
Is Kraft out of their #### mind? "Hi, we only run you 2300 miles a week, if you're lucky. but, we pay you more, but not a whole heck of a lot more than a senior driver gets. We don't pay you to deliver your loads, in fact no one at Central gets that anymore. So now you need to plunk down $1000 to make our jobs easier, because we're cheap and refuse to pay for Trip Pak Scanning. and no, we won't be helping you with that, because every driver should wire their truck and spend the expense of stuff that's going to break with vibrations and get stolen."
. . . Poor 1bad. Kraft is going to lose their entire fleet if they pull that. Tell him that petting critters help lower the blood pressure, so he should love Marley to pieces to help. And let him know once we get fixed I'll give him a shot when we're on the road? Even if the majority of what we do is commiserate about working for Central, it's nice to have someone on your side. -
From what I understand, if you quit or are pulled off a dedicated, they will throw you back into the regular OTR fleet, just with whoever is available at the time. I know kraft drivers who quit and went back OTR.

I am not actually adopted from Simon. I came and got my trainer on the 5 year anniversary of Central taking over simon. Most of my friend are Simon drivers, but I came in a little late. sometimes I feel like I've been here that long. I'm wonderinf why the co-drv and I even bother staying.

That is exactly my thinking. Let's cut everyone's pay to make us more money! Oh yea btw you drivers need to spend more of your little pay if you want to keep your position. This is just insane to me! This is like my boss telling me that if I want to make my job easier I need to buy a new bus come on these people really need to get a grip and stop trying to build casinos and make the company they already have run more efficently!!!!!!!!!!!

We learned that late yesterday. Just in a pickle b/c of the only otr dispatcher he had and the loss of pay. Almost .10 a mile make a huge difference on a pay check. I can wait for March to get here to he can move on to a better company. He is looking into walmart. He will be putting his app in the next time he gets home. I have to agree with everyone that has said on this forum in the past "Central is a starter company" b/c if you can work through all their bs you can work for anybody! Ok enough of my ranting for now. Time to get the oldest one up for school. I will check back in later today. Have to go get the truck out of the shop and pick up my new glasses. This screen is getting more blurry by the day. Guess that's a sign of getting older these days! -
OH marly that's another issue! She keeps chewing up everything, blankets, pillows, trip paks you name she uses it as a chew toy. I did buy her some toys when they were home over the weekend. Haven't heard 1bad yelling at her since so hopefully that helped out! But man she can be a terror! I know it's just the puppy in here but she is weighing close to 40 pounds now so it's a puppy-tude in a big dog body can be hard to controll. I told 1bad that that big #### heart for pets he's got would get him in trouble one day and I think that is coming true now! LOLOLOLOLOL

One way you can look at that change on Kraft can be possitive.
Many drivers will leave the fleet.
Also, many OTR drivers will no longer be able to deliver Kraft due to these rules.
My guess is that the drivers left on the fleet will see there miles go thru the roof. Heck, I have been paying for my air card every month and have not been working since June 1. It is just sitting on the counter waiting till I go again.
Kraft will have the same amount of freight they do now. The Kraft fleet is not covering all of that as it is, there is just too much freight.
I don't know. It would be a gamble, but I would say that the drivers left on the fleet will be running there rear ends off till they quit due to over work. -
First Good luck in finding a job!!
A lot of the drivers already have Laptops and you can pick up a printer, battery operated on eBay $23.00!
Widows point is they have already cut back on everyone's wages so its hard for them to afford it, a weeks pay for a Laptop and then $65.00 a month for an Aircard unless ur a hacker or use the truck stops at $20.00 a month. Central should contribute to some of the cost since they insist you will need this equipment on the Kraft Dedicated!
