Central Refrigerated Truck Stop

I'm am just at a loss for words about the whole Kraft deal, they really have no idea what they are doing anymore.

Other then some personal problems I have had the last two weeks a things are going pretty good out on the West coast fleet. Nothing to big to complain about, for now at least. But I must say that I, much like some of the other here is looking into some opportunity's. Just not sure what direction I want to go in.

1bad can one up that one. He has a repower in the morning that only goes 2 miles and 18 hours to get it there. Now that is some crap! The other driver ran out of miles come on he could of asked for the safe harbor thingy to take it two more miles. Bottom line is the other driver doesn't want to sit for 18hrs and not get paid for it. So let's give it to 1bad b/c he never turns down anything. So he is deadheading over 300 miles to sit for 18hrs that's crazy central dispatch for ya. The crack dealer must have came by again this afternoon!

 

Well heck. If thers 18 hrs in there, the driver could have taken his 10 and then did the last 2 miles, or am I missing something there?

Got my preplan and will be going from Chicago to Brattleboro, VA.

Just woke up and scared the crap out of myself. Saw daylight outside and thought I had slept thru my 0400 appt. (wiping the sweat off of forehead!!) Glad I hadn't but can be dang sure I've rechecked both of my clocks. hehehehe

Ya think! That is exactly what 1bad told dispatch. But he said what the heck I'll deadhead down there it will be time for my 10 hrs and drop is 8 hrs early get the extra 300 miles for the day or he would of been sitting waiting on a load. Since he took it they gave him a 800 mile preset to run in 2 days. So he scratched their back and they scratched his.

 

2 miles!!There are ways to move the truck with out the elogs knowing your moving!! ive never taken a repower, i allways seem to lose cell service when they call me to do one.

Well, 2 miles in 18 hours sucks. But since he was sitting, and he gets paid for 302 miles, and he can then take a good 13 hour break or so, that is not too bad.
Kraft is very good on back scratching. They will take a load off another driver to hook you up and keep you moving after you help them out. The fleet planner has no problems doing that. She does at times not pay attention to what time you stopped, when you can move again, how many hours you can move, load and unload times, ect. lol

On getting woke up at night. They better beep me to death on that qualcom, because usually I cannot hear it at night when sleeping. I put it in front of the passenger seat and close my curtains. My cell stays off when I go to bed, and they knew better than to call me on it anyway.

 

yea I agree the other day they tryed to give him a load with like 900 miles on it (would of been great) and he only had 9 hours before he had to take a 34. they kept telling him he had plenty of time took him an hour to convice them he couldn't do it!

 

Well.. I don't exactly consider eight hundred in two days a reward.. But its nice to see some retribution for their work.. I've just gotten to wvc after two months of begging and pleading with them to get me here to get my clothes I left.. When I flew to get my big red girl.

You know.. My cell coverage is the darndest as well.. When they ask me to repower.. I always loose service. I don't mind helping.. But there's limits to my help.. Especially when your rude with me to begin with.

I'm just happy I was chosen for the new mid-west dedicated.... I've already seen bump ups from 200 mile loads to 1900 in three and a half days.. I'm stoked about that.. As long as my dm worjs with me and no more rude women call me.. I should be a-okay!

 

Considering we have had many of weeks with only 1500 total miles 800 in two days is nice! Do that 3 times and that's a decent week. 1900 miles you driving across country or something? We only had one big trip like that waaaaaaay back when. 1bad went from pa to wvc. That was nice but that gave him 5 days to do it. We have notice that if you do enough little loads (around 500) they do add up in a weeks time. Last week he didn't have a load over 700 and he pulled in 2700 for the week. Nice when they give you short runs with long windows and you get it there a day or two early. For some reason that seems to impress the dm he has now. So he tends to keep him rolling. His dm is just on vacation this week so he is dealing with the crack heads that can't read a computer screen again for the week.
Anyway enough of my ranting for the day. Big day tomorrow mom and dad both have doctors appointments, got drive an hour away to pick the truck up and be at work by 1:30 better get in the bed. Be safe out the boys and remember they White lines aren't just there for the looks!!!!!!
