Well guys & gals I am having second thoughts about driving as a team with J. NOT because of J but because I honestly am not sure I can pass the strength tests! It breaks my heart. J and I are not married but we might as well be. We've been together for nearly 8 years. BUT if I have to bow out I'll send him solo. Our recruiter is making light of the tests but after reading here.....well you get my jist.

 

I did not want to try to change your mind but the facts are it's hard I will say a women did make it 2 weeks ago and 2 didn't but if you have a back problem they don't want it to be theres. Mayb your S/O could do the school then let you know how it goes mayb you could go later just a thought. Theres always ride'n along like Jess dose with JJ at least your together. I did not see any females fail it when I was doing my refresher,and neather that was there was in any kind of decent shape. I would at least try it, I don't think it will be as hard as you think.
Actually, I did not see any fail the tests. There were some sent home for other medical things. Eyes, having had chest pains in the past, failing drug screen. Things like that, not the work well, or whatever it was.
They wanted to fail me for my hearing. I had to go to a hearing lab to have it checked. Actually it was a rather noticeable loss in hearing. I was surprised. I knew that I had trouble hearing at times, but I actually have around a 30% loss in both ears. I cannot remember the requirements at the moment, but I could not loose more than another 5-7% in eather ear, or I would not get my medical card.
Just another loss from the military and driving local for a long time.

 

It's cool 6 pak...that's why I am asking here. I think we're getting "fluff" answers from the recruiter. My back isn't that bad I am just old, fat and outta shape! LOL But hey...J still seems to love me! We have discussed him going first and me working out and maybe trying it next spring. Love ya guys...stay safe out there!

 

I was Army ~S~ Had a good MOS. Should have done my 20. I have high blood pressure and J is worried about that flunking me too. Although I did pass a DOT physical with it in Las Vegas a couple years back.

 

Oh hey...dunno if you guys know this or not but if you have a BlackJack or other ATT PDA phone you can actually tether it to your computer and use it like a modem. It's cheaper than an airtime card. J can tell you how to set it up.
