Central sucks

Ok let's try this again juvenile records are sealed even from trucking companies.. everybody I have seen sent home had the bus paid for, course this was from the conley terminal. Everyone one of them was because they failed to disclose something in WRITING... what.did you leave off the app?

 

Why would any company do an expensive background check on someone they don't even know is going to show up?

 

First lesson in trucking, free of charge. Recruiters LIE!!

 

Actually mine didn't and he was surprised when I thanked him for that... including the 'you will be sent home at your own expense' wording on the app.

 

Lucky you. I make it a point if I am changing companies that they have EVERYTHING completed prior to me going anywhere. If they don't want to go along with that, I look elsewhere. I however don't have any skeletons in my closet to worry about anyways, but I have seen people get pulled out of orientation and sent home. I always felt like they got a raw deal, although it may have been self inflicted many times.

Failed physicals, failed drug screens, undisclosed criminal stuff, failed road tests. Those are the ones that get people sent packing as far as I have seen.

I have also seen people leave on their own in orientation for whatever reason they didn't like what they were hearing.

Bringing people to Utah from Florida I would think they have every intention of hiring you at that point.

Now the real problem. Lets say everything the OP posted is true. There is often a communication breakdown between departments, and recruiter will sometimes say something is ok, when in fact its not.

 

the intention of hiring..and actually being hired...are not the same

 

Alot of times that want a face with a name.....and see how people act.

 

How in the world can they access a Juvenile record?

 

The ones that worry about a background check are the ones with something to hide in a background check.

The idiots are the ones that would travel to a driving school across country knowing they lied on the application and are hoping the recruitment dept don't find it. If I owned the trucking company I would be pissed too, you lied to me, and you can be sure you will be making your way home on your own dime, fool.

There's always two sides to a story...... this is side 2. Anyone here like being lied to? This post my seem harsh, but please, everyone that has ever been sent home acts all innocent with WTF happened, they know, they just are pissed because they caught it.

 

I wondered about the the juvenile stuff myself, anyway if you have nothing to hide then a background check should not worry you. Everyone has them run at some point in the process. I have an accident that was not on record as far as the police are concerned, but on every app. I filled out I disclosed everything about it. It was back in 2006 a few said it was to soon others wanted to know more and some it did not matter, point is if I had gone with one that it was to soon out for and not disclosed about it and then they found out about it who's fault is that.
