You're a lease driver? O/O? then call OOIDA and ask them for the name of a recommended lawyer to use and some guidance. I at least HOPE you're an OOIDA Member? Go on line to those letters or give them a call 816-229-5791or 800-444-5791
Join them and get a discount off of his bill! Join them and for the $45 (I think) membership get PPL (Pre Paid Legal) also which beats the heck out of that PPL that is $30 a month at the truck stops!

so, let me guess. Central (like all trucking companies) is taking a big hit from the customer's on their rates and they have had to make some cost cuts. That's not big news in the industry right now, the customers have the upper hand because their are too many trucks on the road for the slow economy. Blame that one on the Goldman Sachs of the world and other banks who have let truck owners off the hook for making their truck payments. company's that should have been out of business have been "bailed out" so to speak and now their is too much capacity in the market which means less freight for all of us. by the way, there's no way a company would take something like that away if it was in writing so you're wasting your time with a lawyer. my guess is these were incentives they were paying because you were on a special account and now the customers have come in and cut the rates and they have to take it away from the driver. VERY unfortunate, but would you rather have the company go out of business and have all the small owner operators go out of business with them. sounds like they had to to what they had to do.

That's why they say get stuff in black and white my friends. It's funny everyone bashes these companies, but yet, I have heard nothing but good about central. I checked em out, they accepted me, And I feel they are the best choice between who I have to choose from. I have everything In black and white, and if they don't hold up their end, then hey, I have prove in black and white. It's not rocket science. By a lot of people's posts, I would assume most of you are just whiners anyways and don't even have a clue. But that's just my opinion. There's a lot of information on this forum though. Truckin isn't easy. It's every person for themselves.

Bad habits are hard to stop doing...especially when your management believes that all truckers are dumb as rocks!

Watch for my wife to get you some attorney info...we been there! (truckrswife):biggrin_25525:

Its never been every person for themselves. This industry has always been about helping each other, like helping my neighbor to put in new tranny in a snow storm,or the time he bobtailed from oklahoma to deliver my load in illinois when I lost a bearing.I am sorry you feel that way,but I hope you change that attitude somewhere along your career.Take care
