The old company had them,(Centramatics) on the steers, but they are only on the few trucks left from that company.
Anyone ever hear of Dynabeads? The head mechanic there now, likes them better than Centramatics.
They are dry and reusable and cost less. The antifreeze would be cheaper, if it works as well is the question.
Liquid ballast in farm tractors was a saturated solution of calcium chloride, high weight per unit of volume, but the tire companies are discouraging use of it, it worked better in tube type tires than in tubeless, but the radial tires used now are supposed to be run tubeless. -
the dynabeads look interesting.
At $50 per axle too.25(2)+2 Thanks this. -
now you got me looking at them and at crossfires or catz eye Tire pressure monitors.
There's a whole bunch of electronic ones out, but they want $1000-1300 for one of those systems. -
A few mates use beads as balance and they all say that they work great, I'm going to use beads next time I get tyres and see if they work good. They come in 10 oz and 12 oz bags, but that's about all I now about them.
