I've been thinking about getting a set for my steers. How often are you guys doing an alignment with the centramatics installed. Right now I get an alignment done every 6 months just be on top of it.

They aren't lying they just put them on a unit that was already well balanced or so out of balance the centramatics couldn't work. They work to a certain point
-
How easy are they to install or did most of you have a tire shop.install them?
-
I bought some. Made my steering shake just enough where I can notice it. I ended up removing them. Shaking gone . I didn't like them to answer the question
SAR and BoxCarKidd Thank this. -
I have them on the steer axle. Also spin balance tires before install.
Leaves centramatics to balance as tires wear.
Tires wear smooth. I like them. -
I ran them for about 600K miles, truck and trailer. They do have a limited life span. The worked as advertised.
Switched to beads on the last set of drives and steers. I like them even better than the centramatics.
I have some suspicion that the centramatics between the duals contributed to a couple of loose lug nut problems I had.fargonaz Thanks this. -
Some of you folks almost had me talked into trying a set on a problem truck. Thank I will try beads instead. I was in a shop one time that had a nice Pet on stands all the way around. A driver walked in and said he was going to get a set of centramatics like that when he could afford them. The owner walked around the truck, picked them all up and handed them to him. Would take no money. I guess everything wears out, that was a good point.

They just slide over the lugs. No installation charge if you buy them when you are replacing your steers or having them rotated. They are cheap and the absolute best bang for the buck I have ever spent. It's not a gimmick. They work.HalpinUout Thanks this.

I bought some of those lugs nuts that have that inner lip that centers the wheel when you tighten them up, I can't recall what there called.
Tug Toy, SAR and BoxCarKidd Thank this. -
Same thing happened to me and it was on a brand new truck with virgin rubber.
Took the truck to a shop to make sure hubs, kingpins and every thing else was in order. All checked out A okay. So had them taken off and truck went back riding smoothly.
