I can kind of see why lawyers are going after trucking companies and they're insurers because most don't want to pay for what they destroy .
TallJoe and ProfessionalNoticer Thank this. -
I was hit and run by a Swift truck, yes really, and he caused 20K in damage and I was down for a month.
It took months to resolve but I was paid, eventually.
It was horribly stressful.
I wish you luck. -
Years ago a former co worker who was a owner op was in Toronto he slightly scraped a swift trailer in the dark.. he called swift explained the situation and told them to send him a bill. They sent him a 1500$ cheque he called them back and told them their mistake they sent him another 1500$ cheque.after six months total back and forth he got mad and cashed them.bzinger, Midwest Trucker, TallJoe and 1 other person Thank this.

Call 1-800-Downtime. They will help you get the lost income & rental. Sometimes, you need a lawyer to make them pay attention to your claim.
ProfessionalNoticer and bzinger Thank this. -
You call also call the insurance commissioner in their state (cfi home office) and report them for NOT paying.
They really don't like thatProfessionalNoticer and Vitkouski Thank this. -
Nope, service plaza and turnpike belong to the Ohio Turnpike commission.

Another companies truck hit my truck while it was parked, and damaged the hood. The other company paid for a new hood and the labor to install it, but balked at paying for loss earnings due to downtime. I got a lawyer and was compensated.
TBlank72, Speed_Drums, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this.
