Well now with the higher fuel prices are they gonna raise the fuel surcharge ? Its not hard to grab a load from one place so you can get a better paying load.. Meaning If i have to get a load out of new york so i cam get to north carolina and it pays $1000 then i gonna take it. That load in north Carolina Pays Me $3300 to Go To Arizonia .. i still make money dispite the fuel price. $4.00 a gallon x 300= $1200. 6.7 mpg is 1800 miles. so to say i will make 900 minus truck escrow and all other overall cost. You can get a good load from Ca Back To PA for About $7800

That is an extremely vague question. There are many factors but not limited to who the customer is, what type of freight it is, the time of year, the amount of trucks in that particular area. Most importantly, it all comes down to the market THAT day. The market depicts the rate, not CH. Either way they have to move that load. They are obviously going to move it for at least as possible. The same load moved on Monday could be $250 cheaper on Tuesday if they have a higher volume of calls come in for that load. One thing I know for sure is, they are not going to pay any more for it than they have to.

I think it all has to do with the rep you use and the office. We don't see any consistancy.

I think I talk to a recording when I check on a FL load ...$600 seems to be the rate for everything. I will deadhead to the state line and come out better.

For those not using CHR who are you getting better rates from?

Thats right. It is all on you. I have turned down so many loads that paid nothing.................... Most often I make a counter offer................ 9 times out of 10 they call me back, and I'm going down the road with a decent paying load.
