I can agree with most of what you say. My biggest issue is when chains are required when they really aren't needed (at least in my opinion). Too many times I'd hear drivers say they'll park it before throwing iron to get over a hill. Not me. I'll chain 'em, roll over the hill and take 'em off on the other side. Now, like I mentioned before, if we didn't chain, the load wasn't getting there. Period. And they couldn't wait until spring for it, either. I guess a lot of it depends on your experience.

Hi fellow drivers

Thanks,

That's what we're all here for...to help each other out.... -
that site is wrong, Wyo. now has a mandatory chain law similar to Colorado.
-
Link also did not state that most states don't care if you have them. Just that you use them when required or park it. Ore. requires that you have them or they will fine the h@!! out of you and make you buy some. It also didn't state how many chains you need in each state. NV does not care how many just that you use some when required. Ca. waits 8 of them.
-
Colo. is the same, your required to carry them statewide Sept. 1 til May 31.

I don't know about y'all...but I always carry my chains.....
Chains work in more than snow......
