45 mins is with a coffee break. Lol
It easy to hang and secure iron in a very short time when your dialed. I didn't want to sound like a super trucker.![]()

That is just who i am . The slowest one to tarp , the slowest one to throw straps, so naturally the slowest one to throw iron. Fast or slow, as long as we all get up n down the mountain in one piece is all that really matters
JReding, BoostedTeg, Speed_Drums and 9 others Thank this. -
There's alot to be said for being deliberate and consistent. Slow & steady gets it done.Speed_Drums, kemosabi49, Wasted Thyme and 1 other person Thank this.

I looked them up a bit ago and read they tear easy; has this been true in your experience? Might be a brand thing tooWasted Thyme and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

I can get down in a couple pieces no problem heheD.Tibbitt Thanks this.

Last winter was my first time with them. But they held up good. Yes they will rip apart if u drive on dry pavement with them. They are to be used for snowpack only.Wasted Thyme and farmerjohn64 Thank this.

I don’t wanna be sitting at the truck stop like a coward this winter so I’m gonna have to figure something out; is it just the drives you chain up?
Rofl it looks like you just put trash bags on themD.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
Depends on the state. Some states ur good with just the drives, some like oregonand washington make u chain all 4 drives and 2 trailer tires.. If im really light i will throw a drag chain whether its required or not. Last thing u want is the trailer breaking grip and racing u down the hill...Really only need chains running out in the western mountains . Nothing wrong with staying in the truckstop if ur not comfortable.. The most important thing to remeber is be patient. U cant have the gotta go gotta go mentality when running thru snow and ice.. Slow and steady wins the race..Speed_Drums and bryan21384 Thank this.

Lots just time the drive so that they are hitting the passes in the heat of the day. So the snow/ice has had time to melt. So rather than hit it at 6-8am they're hitting it at 2-3pm. As an example.

i worked for companies that did not supply them. they had a philosophy of, "if you need to chain up, you don;t need to be driving".....park it, wait it out.
it took me an incredibly short period of time, to fully embrace that philosophy.
as such, i never learned to chain up, and frankly, never WANTED to learn.
i think it's a matter of,
#1..."go and earn money, and hope for the best i don't crash, kill someone or myself, and get into even DEEPER crap with the insurance company and all sorts of lawyers"
or
#2....stay OFF the roads, till they are passable again.
i take option # 2 each and every time.
you would actually HAVE TO inquire at your company. they may have a strict policy of STAY OFF THE ROAD....
or...chain upaustinmike, Wasted Thyme and SteveScott Thank this.
