    Watching the news this morning...one of the "ticker reports" (bottom of the screen, scrolling)...Tustin, CA, driver called 911 to report he was afraid someone was trying to hijack his load, during the investigation officers discovered 22 tons of pot hidden in his load...guess who got a fancy pair of bracelets for early Christmas!!! I can't find a link for the story.

    I know South Shore and the local communities on the NV side don't bother with NDot, they have the city public works (mostly volunteer firefighters) plowing the roads.

    I went through OK one year when 40 was closed from Santa Rosa, NM East through AR....I sat for three days since there was no roads open...Anyway....40 finally opened and when I was going through OK...The people there didn't wait for DOT either....I saw armies of Skid-steers...Backhoes....Blades...ETC.....Clearing the roads.....

    I went south out of Albuquerque to a road south east to Sweetwater Texas and through Dallas.

    Got home about the time they opened at Santa Rosa.

    According to the news...it should open up in a few hours...storm is pretty much passed through...but the temps are going to remain cold for a week....I imagine I-80 across NV will be a bit dicey!
