Sorry you're having a bad run there Ron. On the I-5, can't figure out what all the fuss was about! Taking into consideration a few Hispaniacs and a bigger few "wrap-around-baseball cap" fellows, it was actually uneventful until taking the exit for my second home (T/A Aurora, OR). I had been watching the off ramp conditions, and they haven't been plowed, so I knew they would be dicey...I was right! Downhill off ramp complete with ice group chunks, and under the I-5 overpass, thought I was crossing RR tracks without fill between the tracks. Out the other side and clear to take the right up to the T/A......NOPE!!!....RLT decides he is above and beyond the definition of STOP at the south bound off ramp (plowed and clear no issues on that side),,,swing out to miss his tail, and he doesn't, or forgets to downshift to climb the little hill and stalls...so without flinching, continue around and pass him on the opposing side which is not in any better condition than the area under the overpass!

Circle the lot a couple times and catch a lucky break and someone is pulling out, 180 and back in next to Swift. Swiftie waits for me to stop then steps down from his perch and approaches...tires cooled, pull up, back in with Swiftie still standing there with a very confused look on his face. First words out of his pie hole..."Why did you do that(?), you were square and straight!....so I explained the heated tires, the melting snow, the cooling tires, the rolling of cooled tires. His answer..."Uh huh, I get it, they didn't tell us about that. So how do I unfreeze my brakes?" I thought a minute, and told him to "pee on em, should be warm enough to thaw some of the ice".....he didn't think that was funny....HEH HEH I DID!!!!

I'm so happy you're stuck. There really is a God and he answers my prayers!!!!! Ha ha ha. I got myself unstuck and pulled 3 or 4 drivers out and had to hold a chain class. Lol. Too bad I'm up in Seattle, I could get you out with my magical snow getter outter powers....... Or get stuck myself again. Thinking the latter may happen.

Wasn't that much ice in Oregon. But to listen to the group of female anatomies talk you'd have thunk that it was like driving across a frozen lake. "What, chain up? No fn way am I doing that!" "If I gotta chain Im parking it." Bunch of ####### ####### there. I never heard so many crybabies in my life. I was embarrased to be part of that.
