Every one says "I'll get off the road if I have to chain.." but if you make it to the chaining station you will be forced to iron up or get ticketed. Those that never chained call themselves professional driver.. sure, besides being lazy enough not to understand that while chaining will get you through the next 60-100 miles to get past the mountain and not parked in a clustered f*** parking lot (lucky if it is a truck stop)

You heading eastbound over Snoqualmie or westbound? Eastbound will be the easier drive in these conditions. That westbound drop from the summit on the elevated roadway is always a steep skating rink when it is icing. -
There seems to be an increasing amount of innuendo happening in this thread....but , then again, I wouldn't have noticed if my preferred position wasn't in the gutter!
